Milwaukee & Lake Geneva, Wisconsin

Rentals

In Milwaukee & Lake Geneva: Twelve companies serve the region, and one county rule decides your entire outdoor setup: tent staking is prohibited in the county parks. Nothing may be driven into the ground, so canopies are held down with sandbags, weights or water barrels. That matters more here than it would elsewhere, because the lake breeze that cools the shoreline runs at about ten miles an hour through exactly the hours of an afternoon ceremony. You are ballasting against real wind, not a theoretical gust. June is also the wettest month of the year at nearly four and a half inches of normal rain, which surprises couples who booked it for the weather. Ask what a quote assumes about anchoring and about wind. Budget $2,000 to $9,000.
