Salt Lake City, Utah

Wedding Planner / Coordinator

In Salt Lake City: The paperwork here is a five-county puzzle, and a coordinator can earn a share of their fee on that alone. A Utah license is valid anywhere in Utah, so you may buy it where the counter is easiest and marry where the venue is. Salt Lake charges $50.00, non-refundable, including two certified copies, and both of you must appear in person, by appointment only. Davis charges $60.00, also including two certified copies, with $5.00 for each additional copy, and both applicants must be present. Weber and Summit each charge $50.00 and require both parties in person with photo identification and proof of age. Utah County verifies identity remotely, by scanning your photo ID and your face with a smartphone, and publishes its own fee, which you should check directly. Watch the expiry: statute and Weber County say a license is invalid 32 days after the day it was issued, while Summit County's own page says 30, so work to the shorter number and confirm it at your own counter. Weber states that a license can be used immediately.
