Stationery & Invitations

In Albuquerque & Santa Fe: One (1) service vendor turned up as a dedicated stationery designer, and the four labeled alternatives below the listings are commercial print shops, useful for finished artwork you already own but not designers. The practical path is a mainland or online design service for the invitation suite and any Southwestern-style custom art, then a local or online printer for day-of pieces such as programs, menus, escort cards and signage. Mail your invitations six to eight weeks before the wedding, and for a destination corridor like this one send save-the-dates ten to twelve months out so guests can book flights and lodging. The Balloon Fiesta blocks lodging in early October, so guests who need to fly in for a mid-October wedding are competing with the fiesta the first weekend of the month. Weigh a finished invitation at the post office before you buy stamps for the whole list; square and thick invitations cost extra to mail.

Bringing your own design to a commercial printer

These are commercial and trade printers, not wedding stationers. None of them designs an invitation suite, and none of them lists weddings as work they do — they are here because they will print a design you already own, usually well and usually for a fraction of a stationer's price. That makes them a real option if you have bought a template, hired a designer separately, or are printing menus, programs, table numbers and signage rather than the invitations themselves. Send a PDF and ask for a paper sample first: weight, finish and color vary far more between printers than price does.
