In Savannah: Twelve shops serve the region across both states. Dress for the weather you will actually be standing in: from June through August that is upper-80s to low-90s and humid, and a heavy gown or a three-piece suit outdoors in it is a genuinely difficult afternoon. Even through the March-to-May and September-to-November peaks the humidity is high enough to matter for fabric choice and for anyone whose hair and makeup must survive a photo session between ceremony and reception. Footwear is the other regional detail. The historic district is brick, cobblestone and tree roots, and Tybee and the Lowcountry beaches are sand; a heel that works on a ballroom floor will not survive a square. Plan a second pair.
