Napa & Sonoma, California

Stationery & Invitations

In Napa & Sonoma: One genuine wedding stationer is listed as an ordinary entry, and four commercial printers appear beneath it under a labeled block — businesses that will print a design you already own, usually well and for a fraction of a stationer's price, but that do not design an invitation suite. If you have bought a template or hired a designer separately, that block is a real and cheaper option, and it is the right place to price menus, programs, signage and table numbers. If you want the suite designed for you, expect to look beyond this list or to work remotely. Your paper is also doing more work here than in most markets: guests are traveling into a region with limited lodging and long drives between towns, so send save-the-dates early and put the driving times on the wedding website. Budget $700 to $5,500.

Bringing your own design to a commercial printer

These are commercial and trade printers, not wedding stationers. None of them designs an invitation suite, and none of them lists weddings as work they do — they are here because they will print a design you already own, usually well and usually for a fraction of a stationer's price. That makes them a real option if you have bought a template, hired a designer separately, or are printing menus, programs, table numbers and signage rather than the invitations themselves. Send a PDF and ask for a paper sample first: weight, finish and color vary far more between printers than price does.
